American artist Kate Larsson took her first watercolor class at a local community college in
October 1996. She set up a permanent studio in her living room and taped all her works in
progress on the walls. She studied art theory, art technique and famous artists.
Her main focus is on color, patterns and movement. In September of 1998 she had her first
solo show and was accepted into her first art gallery. “If my art touches someone, makes
them feel happier or more in touch with nature, then I am pleased.”

1998년 가을에(그림공부를 시작한지 2년만에) 첫 개인전을 가졌는데 그것이 곧 그녀가
처음 갖는 畵室(화실)로 받아들여졌다.
"내 작품이 누군가에게 가까이 다가가서 (내 작품으로 인해) 그들이 보다 더 행복을 느끼고
그들이 자연과 더 親和(친화)할 수만 있다면, 저로서는 더 이상 바랄게 없겠죠."
